DIY Balloon/Ball Pit

Ben bought a blow-up swimming pool on clearance to use as a ball pit for the girls! This is a really great, cheap, easy and safe way to make your own ball pit. You can buy ball pit balls at Walmart, Target or Toys R Us in packs of 100 or 150, but since our pool is kind of huge, we're going to wait until Christmas or maybe until spring when we get our tax return money and buy a few thousand in bulk straight from the manufacturer. Until then, we decided to fill the pool with balloons, which is WAY cheaper and just as much fun (well, maybe ALMOST as much fun).

Mercedes was absolutely giddy about it. She rolled around giggling for about an hour.

This is the first of many toys we have planned for the basement playroom we're setting up for winter.

  1. My husbands cousin did this for her son's 1st birthday party (with feathers added too!). Children of all ages had a great time and they found SO many different ways to play
