Lesson 32: Jesus Heals a Blind Man

Supplies:
Bible (pg 340)

One day, everybody in town was very happy. They were happy because they knew that Jesus was coming! Everybody came running up to Jesus. Some people wanted to know what Jesus looked like. Others wanted to ask him an important question. Some people needed Jesus to help them.

There was a man in the town that was blind. He couldn't see anything. He couldn't see his friends. He couldn't see the trees or the grass or the flowers. He could see nothing. The blind man's friend brought him to Jesus. They said, "Our friend can't see anything. Will you heal him please?"

Jesus took the blind man's hand. Together they walked outside the city. Then Jesus spit on the man's eyes. Jesus asked, "can you see anything?" The man looked around. He said, "I can see a little. I can see people but they look like trees. Everything looks like trees." The man still could not see the trees or grass or flowers.

Jesus put his hands over the man's eyes. Then the man opened his eyes and he could see! He could see everything. He could see people. He could see the trees and grass and flowers. He could see Jesus. The man was so happy. Jesus had healed the man's eyes!

The words of this story were copied from some preschool Bible flashcards that belong to my mom (copyright by CRC Publications 1988...this is the only info I have on the cards. I'm not sure where they originally came from). I am posting this for Sunday School and homeschooling purposes only and I do not claim myself as the author of these stories.
