Letter of the Week: G

Mercedes' letter of the week lessons are still going amazing! Here's what we did for the letter G:

I wrote the big and little letter G on a piece of green paper and we practiced making the "g" sound.

Mercedes practiced tracing the big and little letter G on the worksheet I made for her.

She colored a letter G activity page.

She practiced the ASL sign for G.

I added the big and little letter G to our flashcard collection.

I made a busy bag full of items that begin with the letter G: goldfish, googly eye, glitter, gold, gorilla, glue, grapes, a wooden letter G, glasses, green glitter foam, and a giraffe. Mercedes pulled each item out and practiced making the g sound as she said what each item was.

We used googly eyes to make googly friends all over the house.

Mercedes made a big letter G with pieces of green paper.

She made a little letter g out of glue and glitter.

She had so much fun with the glue and glitter that she made another craft with it.

We ate sugared grapes over ice cream, which sounds weird but it actually tasted delicious.

We played with glow sticks.

And at the end of the week, Mercedes surprised me by writing a perfect letter G on her hand!
