Last year we began a Thanksgiving tradition of making homemade loaded caramel apples, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory style. Last year's apples turned out quite messy and were sort of a disaster to look at, but tasted delicious. This year's apples turned out a lot prettier. The caramel didn't melt off this time because we let the caramel-dipped apples sit in the fridge overnight before we dipped them in chocolate and candy. We also used a different recipe this year so that may have also helped. Regardless, they were incredibly beautiful and delicious. MMmmmm, I love this tradition!
