Letter of the Week: Q

Letter Q was a tricky letter to find activities for. But we managed to come up with a few! Here's what we did for Mercedes' letter Q themed preschool week.

We wrote the big and little letter Q on the window with window markers.

Mercedes colored a letter Q coloring page.

And traced the big and little letter Q on the worksheet I made for her.

We added the letter Q to our flashcards.

Mercedes practiced signing the letter Q using ASL.

I cut up cardstock to look like tiny quilt squares and Mercedes made a big letter Q out of them.

And she made a little letter q with question marks.

Mercedes and I read (and sang) the book 6 Little Ducks because ducks go quack, quack, quack.

And we played with rubber duckies and made them say quack, quack, quack, too.

We played The Quiet Game. We yelled "one, two, three QUIET!" and from then on we were only allowed to speak in a whisper. The first person to speak in a normal tone of voice had to do 10 jumping jacks. Mercedes had to do jumping jacks every time because she could not stop laughing LOUDLY.

And I asked Mercedes a page full of interview questions. I love her adorable answers!
