Letter of the Week: Y

Here's what we did for Mercedes' letter Y themed preschool week:

She traced the big and little letter Y on a worksheet I made for her.

She colored a letter Y coloring sheet.

She practiced signing the letter Y using ASL.

She made a big letter Y with yarn.

And then the girls played with the rest of the ball of yarn.

Mercedes made a little letter y with yellow paper. We did lots of other activities with the color yellow...

Yellow homemade play-doh (we used lemonade Kool-aid to scent it and it ended up smelling like pez candy....Mmmmm!

We found all the yellow food in the girls' kitchen food.

Then we ate a yellow lunch...scrambled eggs, bananas, cheese and peaches.

Mercedes painted lots and lots of yellow masterpieces.

We painted our toenails yellow.

I made the girls a yellow bin to play in with ball pit balls, balloons, rubber ducky, yellow kitchen food and random yellow toys.

Mercedes played with a yo-yo.

We made a snack by freezing yellow bananas, yogurt and chocolate chips together.

Mercedes' watched a sesame street video about the letter Y on Youtube.

And a video of a very talented little girl yodeling.

We've made it almost to the end of our letter of the week lessons!
